Default 5th overall pick or JVR?

Hi guys, im trying to acquire the 5th overall pick in this yrs entry draft.
the other GM is offering his 5th overall and a 3rd rounder for jvr....ive asked for a 2nd instead of the 3rd...am i crazy to consider this?

...if i take the deal who should i take at 5?
    16 team keeper league

also its important to know that if i dont make this trade ill probably have to drop Okposo, or ill be super tight come ufa time....

As a newbie, I don't understand your signature. What is PF, SN and SM? And your goalies get points for losing? Do I have that right?

I also have no idea how your draft works, or what might be available with your 5th pick, or the third rounder.

So pretty hard to give advice here.

JVR is much more proven and he is still very young. With the 5th pick, I would take Lindholm,Monahan, or Nichuskin. All have their positives and negatives. Nichuskin is the most raw, but he could give you the most potential reward. I definitely wouldn't say you are crazy for considering it, it just really depends on how much you like to gamble on young talent, because it would be a pretty big gamble. Unless you really covet one of those people, I would stand pat and keep the proven player.

I would also stand pat. JVR will likely outpoint anyone you take at 5th overall. And I'm curious to see if he can finally bust out in Toronto's top 6 this year. That deal would only make sense to me if it were a 3rd pick, and you had the option of Barkov.

I'd much rather have JVR than that group of picks. That pick is loaded with risk. JVR has very little risk. He's guaranteed top 6 minutes and and PP time with the leafs. He'll put up around 60pts with a chance for more.
