    Default Trade Zajac for ????

Not for the team in my sig.

League setup: 20 Teams, salary cap Dynasty H2H with the following point setup:

G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, FOW, Hits & Blks (pretty standard setup)

I have Zajac and have a GM inquiring about him. I have some depth at C and hes shopping for one. We start 3 at all fwd positions. He has offered the following players for him and giving me a choice.

    Option 1:

Send him Zajac for Ryane Clowe

    Option 2:

Send him Zajac for Brent Burns

    Option 3:

Dont do either trade and simply keep Zajac

    Thoughts?

Need to know the rest of your roster to gauge which is a better fit. However, I don't play in cap leagues so can't really comment on that side of it. Burns with D eligibility (if he gets it) would be very tempting. How many do you start at D? What type of league? H2H/Roto/etc?

Zajac for Burns is a no-brainer if you can pull that off. Burns, even with just RW-status, has much higher value currently due to Zajac having three consecutive poor years and his new big fat contract starting this year. He's also lost not only Parise but Kovalchuk too now. His value is really low. That's why I only got Dalpe+Bowman for him in UHL.

Clowe's value is likewise at rock bottom and with FOW might as well keep Zajac over him.

But take Burns if he's offered to you.

I see Zajac hitting 60 pts max. I see Burns hitting that same plateau. The dual eligibilty chance + hits category make Burns the easy choice for me (considering your depth at C).

If there are positional requirements and Burns ends up with D/RW eligibility then that is the move for sure. Even if he only ends up with RW eligibility, chances are he can keep up with Zajac. With Zajac not having a huge ceiling I see a small amount of risk and significant reward, so I make that deal.

If Burns is D eligible then get him. You'd be getting the way better end of the deal.

I would hold out for a 12 pack, but if the other GM holds out I would settle on a 6 pack. Just no piss water, get something good.

    Burns is fine.

    Grab Burns.
The reward for a forward-playing-Burns that might be eligble in a D-slot is huge.
    Worth. the. risk.
