    Best player in the league.

Best part about it is that he does this on a nightly basis. Every. Single. Game. Seriously, if you find yourself watching a Detroit game this season, concentrate on Datsyuk for a period, watch for all the little things he does, both with and without the puck.

Good vid. I love watching Pavel work his magic.

I agree, he is the best all around player in the league, Im glad we get to see him for a few more years in the NHL.

Seriously, Datsyuk is my favourite player and it pained me to trade him last year.
He's recognized by the players as well - remember Chara picking him first overall in the All-Star game in 2011-12.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Hes my favorite player as well or at least one of the 5 guys I will consistently say that about. Even his youtube HL vid from 2012-2013 he is ridiculous.

This vid for all of us who truly never get tired of watching him. His celebrations are the slickest too.

Unbelievable player, some of those plays he makes are on some pretty solid defensive players - the one little dipsy doodle around Eriksson, for example.

I dunno metal, it's kinda like arguing whether you like ribeye or filet mignon better, there's no right answer.

I like to view it as a defender on the play...I can't imagine anything more terrifying than being the single guy back (especially if you're a forward) with Datsyuk with the puck on his stick bearing down on you with a full head of steam...substitute Crosby for Dats and it's just as frightening when you break it all down, but to me Dats is the best stick handler in the league bar none, he seems to change state from solid to liquid sometimes the way he dances around defenders

The thing that puts Datsyuk over Crosby for me is that he is just as good defensively as he is offensively. Crosby is miiiiiiiiiiiiles behind Datsyuk defensively.

Also, Datsyuk is not a whiny douche

    Great link on Datsyuk!

Side note: My sister just learned that my great grandfather signed in at Ellis Island in 1911 from Russia. First name = Pavel. Cool, cool.

When Datsyuk retires, I think we'll look back on him as the most magical player of the 2000s. What a treat to watch!
