RW= P.Kane, Kucherov, Fiala, Johnson
D= Rielly, Borowieki, Fowler, Hagg, Murphy
G= Demko, Samsonov, Jarry, Allen, Shesterkin, Talbot
At C:
Crosby > Stamkos
E.Staal = Backstrom
M.Koivu = R.O'Rielly
Kesler is left out because all he does it gets hurt.
It's a push
At LW
Parise < OV
Semin = Zetterberg
Hartnell = Eriksson (Eriksson dominates in points, Hartnell will get a lot of PIM)
Kunitz = Marleau
The extra guys for team B push team B over the top here for me
At RW:
Kane > Yakupov
Neal =St Louis (1 more year
Alfredsson < Iggy (Iggy will play more and put up more secondary stats)
Brown and Callahan are AWESOME in leagues that count hits but they are merely decent players in this setup. Still, gives the edge to team B
At D:
Edler = Chara
Shattenkirk > Markov
The rest of the D give this one to team A
At G:
Rask = Lundy (Lundy is the most consistent and best goalie to own in fantasy but Rask is good)
Halak < Niemi
Backstrom < Schneider (Backs gets hurt so much, Schneider will have more GS this year and he is the better goalie by far)
Reimer and Emery are dead weight. They are not even considered starters on their teams and at best, they will be in a 1A/1B situation. And in a 10 team league, this is just a waste to have on your bench
Team B wins this round
I think Team B wins this matchup for sure. Team A might have a couple of bigger named players but team B is much deeper and a better all around team. If team B decided to trade Brown or Callahan, they could shore up the difference on D very easily and the win at the center position for team A was being very generous. I would easily take team B both now and 5 years from now.

Each team needs work, most glaring is the D on team B. Team B's depth in all other positions gives it the edge IMO. Close though.

Here is how I would evaluate them...
Centers: Team B (slight edge; depth)
LW: Team B (slight edge; OV/depth puts over the top
RW: Team A (Kane, Neal, Kessel all top-tier)
D: Team A (slight edge; depth)
G: Team B (Lundqvist, Niemi, Schneider; nuff said)
Ultimately, it's a close call but I have to side with Team B. Both clubs have top-end talent, but the fact that Team B has much greater depth at the forward positions really turned the tide for me. Perhaps Team A is keeping too many goaltenders?

Its bad enough I have to compete against these two teams.....now I have to watch them stoke their egos over who has the best team....
Why don't you just drop your pants and get it over with.
Sigh..... team B will be hard to beat for many years in this league set up. Crosby has to play 82 games again some day for team A to make a run.....
im taking team b also. but really they are close enough that its gooing to come down to whos team stays healthy and whos team gets a bit lucky.

Team B for me, and it's not that close. More depth (except on D), better depth players, the better top two goalies.
Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.
12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.
League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.
Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.
We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.
Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid
Team B, for me.
MAn that's close...........Team B for me, but barely.
Although I don't like the lack of defense, I'd roll with Team B.

...oh boy... this build is gonna be a while...
Defensemen carry very little value in this league. Unless they are 60 point dmen.
No trade value at all.
EDIT: I guess what I am trying to say is that it is very easy to fill in the lack of Defense on draft day or through waivers.....
I'll take Team B.
The forward categories are pretty evenly split (although I give a slight edge to B), but Team B will sweep the Goalie cats.
They do this every year....I swear they care more about getting more praise than the other, then they do actually winning the pool.
I'll go Team B. The Stamkos/StLouis + Oveckin/Backstrom duos have too much potential. Good depth behind them(Tho I prefer team A's depth if we're strictly talking starting 3's at each position), great goalies. Good chance to repeat....but the pre-season favorite never wins in this pool.
