Default Bernier, Anderson or Bobrovsky ..?

considering one of the latter 2 for an upgrade on Bernier, but not sure how much of an upgrade they represent, to justify what cost?
can only keep 2 goalies, and made a deadline deal to get Bernier ... could prob get Anderson or Bob for a high pick (and dump Bernier) ...but is it worth it?

I would rather have Bernier than Bob over the long haul. Just simply because Bobrovsky' future is so questionable witht he KHL always looming. Plus, he still plays for Columbus and I know he got it done last year, but I need to see more.

Anderson is a better option for this year, and possibly next. But, it's anyone's guess where he goes next. I could see Ottawa anointing Lehner the throne when Anderson' contract is up. And, depending on how he plays over the next year or two, it will dictate his next role.

With all this being said, I think Bernier has enough upside for you to stand pat. Especially because your other options come with just as much risk, and not as much upside.

Anderson and Bob are both a huge upgrade on Bernier. Reimer is still the #1 in Toronto. There's no guarantee Bernier will ever be the starter.

LOL, so the Leafs traded significant assets for Bernier and then signed him to a bigger contract than Reimer so he can be the back up?

Frattin and a 2nd are significant assets? Lol. The leafs do lots of things that don't make sense, that's why they're the leafs. Look at Clarkson's new contract...

i see the TO situation as a platoon with each guy going 50% (give or take 10%).

Anderson will ge the bulk of the starts this year again unless he goes down with an injury, hes the type that needs to play constantly to stay on his game at the level he plays.

Bob, while being the reigning Vezina winner, is IMO still behind Andy in this heat.

In a league with only ONE quantity stat (W)... and TWO quality stats (GAA/SV%), I'd probably prefer:

    Bernier
    Anderson
    Bobrovsky

I'm not sold on Bob after just one year. CBJ's new division is tough (PIT/PHI/NYR/WAS...) and there'll be a lot of offense shooting on Bob. The Leafs have a decent defense and will always be a CAP team. I think Bernier is very good and will win the job from Reimer. Even if Bernier only gets 45 starts... his win total may not be far off Bobrovsky's win total in 65 starts. CBJ is NOT good and will NOT win as much in that new division.

While I am not a huge Ottawa fan, I think Anderson is very under-rated and usually over looked. In this list, he would be at the top for me.
