Nash is a little bit younger and should produce even better with Torts out of town. I like Henrik a boatload but his real hockey value far exceeds his fantasy value.
Points-only, who would you rather own?

Zetterberg without a doubt. He'll now get to play in the Eastern Conference, so he'll be feasting on the 'Old Southeastern' teams.

Zetterberg. He's still a stud. A bad year for him is one of Nash's best years.
Zetts for me.

Zetty is turning 33 going into next season. They were just about dead even last season in terms of PPG and that was with Nash playing under Torts. Real life Zetterberg>Nash. Fantasy moving forward Nash>Zetty

Just curious why you think that Nash will improve with torts out of the way. I own Nash as well and am a bit iffy now that torts is gone. Torts is known to give his top players a heavy amount of ice time. He did it in TB with Richards, MSL, and Vinny and he did it in NYR with Nash and I'm unsure who else off the top of my head.
Does this hold any water?

Neck and neck. I like Nash on a Torts-less Rags squad and expect between 67-80 out of him. Zetterberg is still a reliable producer and I expect pretty much the same or 3-4 points less. Factor in the age difference and I'd go with Nash to gain some years. Razor thin point differential moving forward IMO.

Nash has had 1 season in his career over PPG. For all the hype, unfortunately we know what he is. First it was "he'd get more points if he had more talent around him" then he moved to the Rangers and his points were going to skyrocket! And they didn't. Now it's the coach? Unlikely. It's Rick Nash. He's a 60-70 point player, which is good, but give me Zetts (and the more talented Detroit team)
I'm interested to see how Nash will do under Vigneault. If he can start 60+% of his shifts in the o-zone like AV did with the Sedins Nash could be in for a career year.
Worst case for Nash he's probably tied with Zetterberg this year in points. I just don't see Zett out scoring him unless its maybe a point or two.... Best case, I can see Nash finally hitting 85 points and leaving Zett in the dust a bit.

factoring in longevity is maybe a good call.
that said... it's not always as simple as years. some styles of play can decline quicker than others. perfect example: Iggy vs Alfie
Zetterberg's recent point pattern is better, but Nash is younger. Tough call, but I'll go with the guy who has produced more in recent years. Z for me!
