Ruslan Fedotenko has signed a 3 year, $9 million deal with HC Donetsk in the KHL.

Not sure this guy is even fantasy relevant anymore but I am sure he's owned by a few in some deeper leagues. Or at least WAS owned by a few.

Hmmm. The NHL might want to take note of that deal. If the Fedotenko's can get $3.0M, the KHL may start having more luck getting some bigger players pried loose...

Is KHL making another step ahead? Is a silly owner in the KHL just busy throwing his money around?

I think we've seen the throw the money around thing in the NHL once or twice over the years.

Wow that is a great deal for a 4th liner(maybe 3rd liner on some teams) in the NHL..

KHL is so watered down, its actually comical seeing these kinds of deals..

I think we've seen the throw the money around thing in the NHL once or twice over the years.

Not much to see here in the grand scheme of things. Fedotenko is Russian which adds to his value over there. They overpay for their countrymen all the time. But their league is still shady and living conditions over there are not great.
