Default Predict the first trade of the draft day

The last two days have been very quiet. Basically there's been no action since the Vincent Lecavalier buyout and CGY-COL trade. Hopefully the floodgates will open today and we'll see a lot of trade action.

So what is your prediction for the first trade of day?

    ---

My prediction: Minnesota trades Cal Clutterbuck to Toronto for 2nd and 5th round picks.

I don't see Buffalo trading Miller to an inter-Conference rival. IF he goes, it will be out west. Not sure if a team like Calgary has the goods to acquire him though. Edmonton would make sense. Possibly Colorado if Varlamov is part of a package. Could see a 3-way deal involving Philly and St. Louis with Philly getting Halak and St. Louis landing Miller. It will be interesting to see how the situation plays out.

I get that point, but i don't necessarily agree with it. I think GMs take the best offer on the table regardless of team and its division. Afterall, it cuts both ways. The Islanders would have to face Strome, as well (hypothetically, of course).

I predict very minimal trades today. Maybe a trade in the top 5 picks but outside of that I think it'll be pretty straight forward type of day.

i think we will see a few,
TO and Edm will be trying hard to make moves
and Vancouver will be trying to ship out a goalie,
I wouldn't rule out Colorado trading a pick
Chicago will be looking to move Bolland

Might not be super busy today, but between now and the 5th it should be.

Bolland to Edmon for 2 second rounders
