    Default Who's the dropper?

It'll happen. No one is denying it.

Who will be the drafts biggest dropper? Someone the broadcaster can't believe is still avaialable, someone who the camera crew cut to to show that player is still in the stands. Lets keep it for the first round only, and not get to crazy!

Who will it be? Im sure there will be someone evident that we will all (majority) agree on. Whoever gets it right will get repped by everyone.....Why not?

The risky but obvious choice is Nichushkin, but I'll go with Rychel. He's projected mid roundish, I say not even a first rounder.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Fucale not go in the 1st round. Not sure if that is a very bold statement though.

With the Flames having three 1st rounders, I think Fucale will be drafted in the 1st round forsure..

I don't think there will be any big droppers in the first 20 picks..

MACKINNON, DROUIN, JONES, BARKOV, NURSE, MONAHAN, LINDHOLM, NICHUSHKIN, ZADOROV, WENNBERG, MORIN, SHINKARU, DOMI ,RISTOLAINEN, HORVAT, PULOCK, ERNE, MORRISSEY, LAZAR, MANTHA..

Domi may drop a bit, Nuchushkin may do a grigorenko drop.. But these 20 guys are going to be the first 20 drafted..

Agree with the above, I don't see many out of top 10 or so dropping that much. Domi I could see falling quite a bit though. For risers, I think Zykov may go higher than many think.

Like others, I see Domi sliding.

I see Mueller sliding out of the first round. Nothing against his skill set, but teams may be willing to go for the home run pick as opposed to the safe pick. He brings a solid game to the table but nothing that stands out and my reason that I see him dropping.

Ristolainen. Not getting a vibe from him. Think he falls like Maatta.

After him, I see Horvat sliding a bit (to the 20's), and Shinkaruk might as well.

Assuming no trades, I wouldn't be surprised to see TBL select Barkov, and see Drouin fall to 4 or 5.

That's also assuming Mac and Jones go 1 and 2.

OR (can I pick two scenarios?)...again assuming no trades

Jones drops to five, with Mac, Drouin, Barkov and Nichuskin going before him.

Remeber last year, that unexpected run on d-men in the first round? Who had Murray going 2nd overall? Point being, shit just happens...

Nich at four is a stretch admittedly, but what the hell.

Pretty sure Murray at 2 was expected especially since Snow was willing to give CBJ all his picks in exchange for that selection.

Oh well...ok, bad example. But my point still stands.

EDIT: On second thought, trade aside, was Murray ranked #2 by central scouting, because that's what I'm referring to when discussing drops.

Here's my take...IFF Colorado or Florida truly see Jones as out of the gate NHL-ready, then he goes in the top two. I throw TBL in there as well, more as a question mark. I like them taking Barkov, but if Jones falls to them....

With the quality of offense in the top three - maybe four - forwards, I don't see Colorado, Florida and Tampa passing on them for a d-man that has to marinate in the minors for a year or part of the year.
