Who's in line to be drafted first overall in 2014? Not that that's a bad thing; the Flames have needed to restock the cupboards for a long while, and this should certainly ensure a great pick.
I do not think it's official. Not yet anyway. He said it during an interview but that's all it is at this point anyway.

I'm pretty sure they will still be a lottery team when McDavid and the 2015 draft arrives.
Ekblad is certainly in contention for first overall in 2014. Others in the top 10 discussion right now are Virtanen, Vrana, McKeown (D), Draisaitl, and so many others. To me, the top 10 is really wide open with only Ekblad, Reinhart, and Nylander being guarantees (as much as there can be a guarantee this far out).

Shit like this shows no class IMO. If you want to retire fine, but at least call your boss and say so, why do it through some other source? These guys pay you a large chunk of money and give you a good life. Call them, talk about your plans / intentions, give them that respect.
