Offseason Roster for Deep Keeper I took over in March 2013
Took over bad team in March and turned roster over as best as possible before trade deadline. No star power and those guys rarely get traded. Keeper budget is 2800-2900 and teams can keep as many players as they desire. I know I can't win this league in 13/14 with this squad so I'm really looking at 14/15 and beyond.
Trading period before the draft ends up being teams trading guys they can't fit within their budget for draft picks if possible.
I have 4th pick in non snake draft and acquired extra picks in rd's 2 4 and 6. Non Keepers and 2013 draftee's are all part of 1 draft.
Looking for input on who to keep/develop/trade now if return is good. Also if you have any input on which position to use a listed player as I can set them to one of the ones listed and it's grandfathered in as long as they are on my team. Thank you.

Hey nam128, welcome to the boards. Before we can offer some advice to you, we need a breakdown of your league:
- How many teams?
- What are your categories?
- Who are your goalies and how many start per day/week?
- What are your required starts per position?
- Is this H2H or Rotisserie?
The more background information you give us, the better the advice you receive will be.
By the way, your team looks pretty good right now especially your D. Offhand, you will see Byfuglien is usually given RW status in most leagues as well as D. You will see Skinner with C/RW as well as Oshie. Ott has C/LW status. These are all from Yahoo last year, so some may not carry over when the new season starts.
14 Team Weekly Lineup H2H. 4 C, 4 LW, 4 RW, 5 D (moving to 6), 1 G. Play on CBS and official player positions can only be listed by CBS or THN.

The Goalie I took into the offseason is Fleury. Only 1 Goalie was kept last offseason and that was Fleury. League is considering change to Goalie scoring for next season to change this but until they figure it out I'm not going to keep any since they are all in the draft.
Since your league doesn't count pims, I would try to move Ott ( bad team), Richards, and Skinner ( injuries)
Doughty could bring you a good return in a trade and your D looks strong. Eller and Wilson seem expensive. Ellen Could be another trade candidate, lots of people seem high on him.
You lack star power, so would target high end prospects in the draft and plan on competing in 2 yrs. I use hockeyfuture.com for prospects.
