Trying to land the 2nd overall

In my keeper league in sig I landed the first overall pick and rather than trying to decide between Mac and drouin I started trying to land the 2nd overall and net both in the upcoming draft. What would you guys offer from the team in my sig to this team :

Well, you would have to offer him something he can use. He already has a pretty good farm team in place, so you're going to be hard pressed to offer him something decent. I think you have to offer up 1 of Hossa or Luongo + ? to even make him think of it. If Luongo lands somewhere decent, then he becomes a bargaining chip for you. He may favour Hossa over Simmonds, but that would depend on what he really wants. I don't know if you really want to trade Backstrom, but that would be a possibility too.

To make this deal work, you would probably have to include someone like a Bennett or a Reinhart or maybe Ennis to make it work.

Between Backstrom, Luongo, and Hossa you should be able to make a good offer. Some might tell you to not offer Backstrom, but in reality you have guys like Yakupov in the minors that can easily step in right now and if you offer Backstrom you actually should be able to land something in addition to the 2nd overall if the owner doesn't value it as much as Backstrom (which he should value Backstrom more since he seems to be in more of a win-now mode).

You should just take Mackinnon not Drouin! There is a reason he is ranked higher on almost ever scouts list and there is a reason he will go ahead of Drouin, he is MUCH better. Anyway giving up Backstrome for the 2nd pick is not a good idea imo. Stick with what you got.

What if I moved Hossa or Luongo for the 2nd overall + something else? Or would that still be overpayment? If there was an ideal trade that you guys would make or one that you think would be a far offer for me to throw at the other manager what would it be so I can push that out to someone and see what his feelings are at that price?

He actually just sent me the offer of Backstrom for 2nd overall, 26th overall and Ryan Murphy. Doubt I'd be willing to do that at all.
