Inaccurate observations can sometimes be funny.
    For sure...

Now the Bobrovsky thing... yeesh... that's not funny, that one hurts.

More likely, Mason will win the vezina in 2014. I have him pegged as my sleeper elite.

Leading scorer of the worst world juniors (talent-wise) of probably the last 10 years and everyone goes crazy over him. He's a marginal second line center, good third line center. At best. Couturier is better and will beat him out for the 2C spot. He's a Travis Zajac-Mike Fisher type of guy, who I realize both play in the 1C spot but that doesn't mean they should.

I'm not convinced we've seen all of Couturier's offensive upside yet. I think he will be a slow developer because he's a defensive forward, but he might flirt with PPG names through the course of his career. Remember that at one point he was ranked #1 by central scouting and scored a ton of points in Junior.

The player you just described Schenn to be is far from garbage.

The difference between Schenn and Couts in terms of offence is immense

Yea, I was saying Couturier is much much better than B. Schenn.

Your talking about the 18 points he scored in 7 games at the WJC?? How about the 315 he scored, in the WHL, in 224 games?? He even scored 52 points in 47 games during his stops in the AHL. He is far from garbage RT22.. Thats all I'm saying here..

And I am not comparing Couturier and Schenn here, that is a whole different discussion.. I am just saying B.Schenn is not garbage, not by any means.. This kid has tons of talent and a boat load of potential..

And I am saying I think he is a third line player with a lot of hype. So we disagree. I won't change your mind and you most certainly will not change mine. His production will change my mind, and considering he put up nothing playing with Giroux, I'll stick to my guns.

According to LWL - He played about 1% of his even strength shifts with Giroux last year, and only about 15% of his PP shifts with Giroux.

Wayne Simmonds (Richards), Brayden Schenn (Richards) & Jakub Voracek (Carter), Couturier (Carter pick)... {clearing throat}.

Long-term, the Flyers are going to be OK with these returns.
It only sucks that Richards & Carter started taking the team for granted & then decided to start trying again after landing in LA.
Those weren't bad trades for PHI based on the return that Richie & Carter were providing at that time.
Not to mention the Flyers also got the picks that turned into Grossmann and Cousins from the Richards and Carter trades. So the whole deal becomes Richards/Carter for Schenn/Simmonds/Grossmann/Voracek/Couturier/Cousins.

Those deals were completely shocking but they did and still do make sense. Being short on patience with Bobrovsky, that never made sense to me. I was glad to see him with a starting opportunity but he always seemed to be on the rise to me.

i am going to go ahead and agree with this right here

i thought the flyers got great value for carter and richards all things considered

but yeah moving bob just made zero sense at all neither did signing bryzgalov

of all teams the flyers should have figured out there might be something fishy about the goalies on a team where brian boucher puts up a 332:01 shutout streak
