    For those on twitter this will be old news but.....

    @TSNBobMcKenzie
    Goes without saying but will say it anyway (again): PHI will use its two compliance buyouts on Briere and Bryzgalov.

    @DarrenDreger
    The Streit signing sends a strong message both Briere and Bryzgalov will be bought out.

    Briere's salary is 3 M and 2 M the next two years. You think the Flyers could move that salary to someone needing to get to the floor.

    Briere has NMC so Flyers can't trade him without his permission. And from Briere's perspective why should he agree to a trade to a cap floor team when he can get more money as a free agent than he would get with his current contract and from a good team.

    This makes sense.
    I thought (once upon a time) that each team was allowed just one compliance buyout? Has it always been two?

    Time to bet some money on Bryzgalov winning the Vezina in 2014.

    Haha! No doubt.

    This Flyers annual goalie shuffle is beginning to resemble a comedic keystone cops scene.

    My favorite observation made on twitter is that the Flyers traded Mike Richards and Jeff Carter to free up cap space for Bryzgalov and are now buying out Bryzgalov to make room for Streit, so in essence the Flyers trade Richards and Carter for a 36-year old Mark Streit lol.

    Oh well... come on, now.
    You are just jabbing us Flyers fans.

    Wayne Simmonds (Richards), Brayden Schenn (Richards) & Jakub Voracek (Carter), Couturier (Carter pick)... {clearing throat}.

    Long-term, the Flyers are going to be OK with these returns.
    It only sucks that Richards & Carter started taking the team for granted & then decided to start trying again after landing in LA.
    Those weren't bad trades for PHI based on the return that Richie & Carter were providing at that time.

    Voracek, Simmonds, and Couterier, yes. Schenn is garbage. I know the return wasn't just those two for Streit. It was just a funny observation.

    They did also get Voracek, Couturier, Simmonds and Schenn in return ........ I think its more comedic that they shipped out Bobrovsky so they could go after Bryz, and Bob almost leads his team to the playoffs and wins the Vezina, then the Flyers proceed to trade for Bob's backup and will buy out Bryz.
