Default NHL in Seattle: Yep, could happen!

I'd love to see the Seattle market get a team.

    Eye on Hockey ‏@EyeOnHockey 5m

That's interesting RT @ChrisDaniels5: BREAKING: Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn acknowledges recent discussions with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has been in contact with Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn.
McGinn believes that Seattle can support an NHL team in KeyArena, which is the former home of the WHL Seattle Thunderbirds and NBA Seattle SuperSonics. Seattle might become the home of the Phoenix Coyotes if the NHL doesn't see significant movement towards the ownership saga being resolved in the coming weeks. Moving the team to Seattle would allow for the team to stay in the same post-realignment division and it would create a natural rivalry with the Vancouver Canucks

FFS just bring them back to QC and stop all this messing around! Why test a new market when there is already one salivating to get the team back.

Ron MacLean and the boys were talking about this as a strong possibility last night on the CBC Hot Stove during the 2nd intermission.

I don't really want to see a team in QC if you want to know the truth, I'd rather give a market like Seattle a chance then come back to QC.

Seattle makes a lot of sense because then there's no need to re-align the conferences again. Didn't they say this current alignment would be sticking around for at least two or three years? Imagine if Quebec got the team, but was stuck playing the Sharks, Canucks, Kings, Ducks, etc. a few times a year. The travel would be nuts.
12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies. Still need to decide on final keeper.

Forwards: Malkin, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Hall, Kunitz, Benn, Spezza, Iginla, Backes, Gaborik, Brown, Weiss, Kesler, Whitney, Brassard, Ryder
    Defence: Letang, Schultz, Carle, Enstrom
    Goalies: Price, Lundqvist, Ramo

Phoenix should relocate to Seattle and Florida to Quebec City. Teams stay in their proper conferences and move to "better" markets in terms of hockey support. The passion for hockey in Quebec is second-to-none... not sure about Seattle yet but I'd put my money on them rather than Phoenix.
