He deserved it. He avoided causing as much of a stir as in previous seasons and was great on the ice.

Just like last season when Weber should have won this award, Suter should have won it this year.

They need to change this award to the "top offensive Defenseman" award instead of the "top defenseman" award as that seems to be their focus when deciding the winner.

Subban deserved this award - he was a beast. Kept his 'tude in check most of the time and was dominant on both sides of the rink. The best is still yet to come from him.

Subban is much better defensively than Suter. It's really not close. Suter played a ton of minutes because Minny's D isn't very deep, and the coach kept sending him out there.

I thought Subban was a good choice as the winner.
    Suter was fantastic too.
No shame here, I'd say the voters got it right.

P.K. Subban version 1.0 was a player by the name of Chris Chelios. Began his career with Montreal, showed flashes of brilliance as a youngster but toed the line as an agitator and cheap shot. Like Subban, Chelios was a bombastic pest who often played reckless and gambled offensively. His personality was often disliked. After winning a Norris early with the Habs, Chelios was traded because of his attitude / off ice issues and went on to be one of the best American players (the BEST in my opinion) in NHL history. Subban's defense is nowhere near as bad as some make it out to be. This season he didn't riverboat nearly as much as in years past and he was rock solid in his own end in addition to supplying tons of offense and being a PP juggernaut. Well-deserved award. Suter is great and solid but isn't nearly as dynamic and versatile as Subban. Letang is offensively but isn't as good as P.K. in his own end and constantly misses time due to injury.
