    Default Granlund vs Palmieri

Mikael Granlund or Kyle Palmieri long-term?
14-team H2H league, almost everything counts to some extent ('fantasypoints' system) weighted so that all around players are just as valuable as one-dimensional scorers...
    Thoughts?

actually, we could include Strome in this debate if you don't mind hahaha I have a deal in place that gets me the 1st overall, just not sure which one of these three I want to include in the deal...

Palmieri a distant third? NOT even close to being right, guys. First off, he's had the most NHL success thus far and is physically the most ready to withstand a full season. He's very, very strong, plus has a tremendous shot and may be able to play with Getzlaf and Perry for a bit.

Strome and Granlund are more likely to be boom or bust but may have potentially higher ceilings. But to rate them as both far better is sheer lunacy.

I'll chip in on the side of 'sheer lunacy' as well. I like Palmieri, but I don't see him as a monster point producer. Solid, but not remarkable. Sure, he had very decent numbers for a 22 yr old in his first 'full' season (still not a full year under his belt), so I guess the question comes down to do you want middling points soon, or do you want a good shot at more? It will take Granlund some time to adjust (and I would expect Strome too), but we should have seen that coming.

    Personally, Grandlund > Strome > > Palimieri

So you guys are willing to take chances on upside when Palmieri seems to be at the worst a 50 point guy. I take the safe bet here and choose the better nhler at this point because upsides aren't far apart.

    Palmieri >>Strome>Granlund

Strome is better than the other 2 combined. He shouldn't be in the discussion. It's not even remotely close. The other 2 are close. Granlund has had concussions and he's a little guy, but I probably still give him an edge over Palmieri.

I also gotta say that Palmieri is below Granlund and Strome. I can see the argument for a one year league but for a keeper I take the upside for sure and Granlund/Strome have much higher offensive upside IMO. For me, I like Granlund a hair more than Strome but it's close:

Seriously, anyone advocating Palmieri over Strome/Granlund in any type if keeper format is smoking more crack than Ford.

Exactly.. Not sure how you could even think about Palmieri in a keeper league over these two. I definitely would take Palmieri in a one year league though..
