I personally wouldn't think twice about it.

While Richards' fantasy value has taken a hit, I feel like this is (potentially) a good time to buy low on him if the price is right. Tortorella is gone, so if the Rangers keep him he'll be in a better scenario than last year. Not to mention he was on a tear in the final stretch of the season.

If they buy him out, he can go to another team and play, where he would still be better off.

In your case, I'd hang on to him. Setoguchi/Havlat/Jagr were easy cuts. Parenteau is my last cut. Kind of tough, but I feel like he'll be easier to redraft as people don't give him the credit that he probably deserves. I just like Richards' upside more.

This is what my line of thinking was too. PA had a ppg type year, and Richards seemed to regress bigtime. At one point I had Krejci in the mix as a drop, but his playoffs have definitely changed that idea.

I am on board with the 6 that the others selected as well. Riachards makes me think but I would rather take a risk on Gaborick instead. PA is proving himself worthy of being a lock on this list

    Keep Six:

B Richards (pass - 33 years old and in decline, he will bounce back to a degree next year but there are better players to protect)
D Krejci (keep - underrated player centering a dominant line on a dominant team)
E Staal (keep - all star center will put up 70+ points a season for many more to come)
P Datsyuk (keep - he will re-sign one last contract, and will continue to be an all star until he retires)
J Jagr (pass - ageless and good, but age does play a factor)
M Gaborik (keep - he will go off next year on a mission to prove something, after that if Columbus keeps him happy then he will perform, that might be a big "if" though)
P.A. Parenteau (keep - looked great to next to Duchene and can see him continuing to keep his form)
R Nash (keep - played great this year and I think the best is yet to come)
D Setoguchi (pass - decent player but a pretty easy pass)
M Havlat (pass - reasons too numerous to get into)

I have put my keepers and reasons within your qoute in brackets

Thanks guys, pretty much confirmed what I was thinking.

I'll dish out some more rep when I re-load.
