After watching Brodie last night I am very tempted to accept a deal for him (Carter and Brodie for Voracek). At first blush it seems like he has started off very strong and does not look to be suffering in TOI or PP time with Hamilton's arrival.

Think we can expect the same production as last year? Is this kid the real deal?

Really torn on my deal and Brodie's emergence a big part of the decision. Any insight greatly appreciated

I'm a huge Brodie fan, but I don't see much value in Carter fantasy wise. Depends on team needs and if you can afford to lose Voracek. ATM you're selling low on him too. I'd probably ask for something more.

Too late trigger pulled lol. We are goal heavy so Carter more value than most leagues and Vorts an assist machine. Last couple years only a small difference in points in our league so the bonus of Brodie for free tipped it. Wont be my last questionable deal im sure.

So now that I got him, what do you see from Brodie this season and beyond. Ive always been a huge fan and love his usage. Wideman gonzo nect year can only help.

Yah I think Wideman will be gone. Curious what will happen ice time wise with Dougie, but he's looked AWFUL this year. I see Brodie as 40-45 pt man. There's the potential for more but I think that's where he'll settle in. Kinda like a Mark Streit. Consistent 40's with potential for the odd season above 50.

When they waived him, I thought it was over for Ramo.. It basically lit a fire under his butt, or so it seems anyway..

Yeah Ramo was horrible in October, so were the rest of the Flames, their D didn't have it together at all, Brodie has really brought that group together since he returned from injury. I wonder if Calgary decides to resign Ramo.

Andersen maybe. If they were going to acquire Bernier, they would have done it already. Definitely not Pavelec, he's not better than what they have.

You would think they are going to do something soon and try and get back into this.. Any news on re-signing Hudler??

They already know they are out for this season. There's no panic move to "get back in to this". If they can get Andersen they will do it. But they aren't making a panic trade for someone like Cam Ward to try and get back into the playoff picture. Hudler and Russell are being shopped. Hudler certainly won't be resigned. Russell is unlikely to be unless he is ok with making 3.5 or less.

Everyone keeps talking about how that's your winger for the first line, IMO they should keep pairs of Johnny-Mony and Tkachuk-Bennett. They way the both play, I think Tkachuk and Bennett would be just a nightmare to face for either teams. So dogged and determined and on you all the time with the forecheck.
