I have been offered 2 mid - late first round picks for him, both most likely 10th - 14th overall. One of them 2013 and one in 2014. Is he being overhyped and i am selling high here, or is he for real? Do i take this offer? it is a full keeper league with limited minor league spots.

He's definitely legit, but he's still a couple years away.
I guess it depends on what your entire goalie situation is and without that info and league settings and setup its hard to give an accurate assessment on this trade offer.

I think he's the real deal. He's a couple of years away.
This year draft is deep.
It depend on your current roster. Do you have good or excellent goalies? If yes; trade him, if not; keep him.
It is for a 14 team full keeper points based H2H league with the following goalie stats:

my current goalies are smith, dubnyk on active and gibson and hellberg in my minors. am i getting enough for gibson? is he an elite goalie prospect?
Looking at your current situation in the minors I'd rather have Gibson then the picks. Then again only being a 14 team league, goalies should be fairly accessible.
For me, I'd rather own Gibson. He will be a very good NHL goalie.

10th-15th picks often have little value b/c of development time and a generally modest ceiling. Gibson may have elite #1 G as his ceiling and might likely hit it. Keep him.

Wow, just yesterday i agreed to a similar deal with me getting john gibson and the first overall pick 2013 for the 3rd overall pick 2013, 12th overall 2013 + another mid round first rounder in 2014.
you can see i am giving up a lot for gibson (and the first overall of course). if i were you i would definitely keep him because now that he´s on my team, he is not going anywhere...
he definitely has elite upside and if he ever reaches his full potential you will regret that deal.

hmm , a lot of guys have a much higher opinion of him than me. i think the trade is ok for either side. i think the value is about the same.
its very tough to tell with goalies and sometimes theyre not worth the wait.

one thing to consider is where you believe Gibson would be taken in this years draft if he was available. I have trouble believing he would be taken in the first 6 picks. add in opportunity and it could be 5 years before he hits the NHL in Anaheim. now, if he was a Tampa goalie, a he would be worth more in the short term.
