Ott or Markov

I give Ott and I get markov.

its a 20 team dynasty league. 25 roster players. 30 farm. h2h nightly lineups.
scoring: G,A,+-,PPP,SHP,GWG,SOG,FW,W,GAA,SV,SV%

I won this past seasn and looking to repeat. I am looking to add more defensive power. I recently added cody franson, eric staal and Rask to make a stronger push to repeat, but I am thinking more defense help will go a long way. my issue with this is I really like OTT having c,w eligibility along with the added FW. I made a big part in dominating that stat going 11-1 this season for FW. Ott in the winger position adds a big amount. Markov though adds points and PPP. I went 6-5 this season in PPP. like I said I added franson and staal to help with the PPP.

Do I make the trade?

I'd rather have Ott. I'm waiting for Markov to repeat a season ending injury in Nov.

Ott is more valuable in that setup. Not a chance I'd move him for Markov.

Without hits and PIMs Ott obviously loses a lot of value. If you had those stats I'd be pretty against this deal, but without them I think it's a good deal. My big concern would be that Ott is pretty durable whereas Markov, until this year, was a walking injury. If Markov didn't have that concern though, the other GM would be asking for way more than just Ott. If you moved him for a less injury prone guy he wouldn't have the offensive ceiling of Markov. I think it's a good deal, until Markov hurts himself, but until then I'd go for it.

I might be wrong here but isn't Ott very replaceable in this format without hits and PIM? I mean, Markov can probably match his offensive output from a D roster spot. I would just gamble on Markov and hope he plays a reasonable amout of games.

With him having fw's and him being winger eligibility he actually isn't so easily replaceable. Thought he would be but he isn't as easily as i thought.

Markov is getting up there in age and has had numerous seasons decimated by injury. I'm too scared to take a chance on him and would rather have the more consistent production of Ott, even if Markov provides higher upside.
