In a multi cat keeper pool for next year without looking at positions. How would you rank these three forwards for next year. I would go with the consistent more proven somewhat injury prone 1)Sharp
    2) JVR bound for career year next year and 3)Pavelski cause he is the most inconsistent of the three. Any thoughts

I think they all have similar top end but...

JVR is still on his way up.

And as much as i like Sharp (and i do) i feel he's descended into bandaid boy status and wont reach the 70+ point plateau again.

Pavelski has proven an inconsistent regular season performer who steps up for the playoffs

Thats how i see the three.

I like the progress that JVR made this year but I don't like it enough to warrant putting him over guys like Sharp and Pavelski. It would be wise to post your league categories FWIW.

It is tempting to have JVR ahead of Sharp here but (especially if hits are counted) but I think I will have to go:
    Sharp
    JVR
    Pavelski

Let's see how JVR's season goes in 13/14 though as I would not be overly surprised to see this conversation being a lot tighter by the end of the season.

    It's a yahoo H2H pool where it's based on G/A/PTS/SOG/PIM/PP/+/-/GWG.

Sharp gets the most benefit even if he will average playing 50-60 games a season, he's still a PPG capable player not to mention his PPP and +/- will place him above the other two players, which leads me to place little Joe in the number 2 slot because well, his +/- should remain higher than JVR for at least the foreseeable future and he will still play with the likes of Marleau and Thorton and Couture. JVR has the upside to be great on the Leafs however they're still lacking a lot of components the other two players have at their disposal i.e., much more talent around them, much more consistent goalies to tip the +/- in their favor, and both the Sharks and Hawks will likely benefit offensively after the division realignment -- Sharks get to spend a large chunk of their season playing against the Oil, Flames, Coyotes, and the reeling 'Nucks while the Hawks tore up the western conference in this shortened season and get to play Colorado, Winnipeg, the Wild, and the Stars more often -- not taking away from the tending on the Wild and Stars and even Winnipeg, but I just don't see good things coming from any of those teams in the future especially with Backstrom (G) aging and approaching UFA status and Kari Lehtonen seeming to struggle to stay healthy even in the shortened season.
Again, this is just opinion but I would take either Sharp or Joe over JVR.
