    Default OEL / Shea Weber

In a 16 teams Dynasty League with a cap based on Yahoo Oranks. I will be in some cap problems in a year when I have to resign Giroux, Letang and Karlsson who are the guys set for the biggest raise in salary.
I have Weber on a $15/2 years contract and being offered OEL who currently sits on a $1/4yrs contract.

I am strongly considering it becourse it would free cap for my resignings next year.

the trade is something like Weber + low pick for OEL + 9th overall 2013 prospect draft.

Is the difference to big its an easy no or is the difference so small its an easy yes becourse of the contracts ?

League stats are G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, FW, SOG but will vote to bring in Hits/Blocks in 1 year.

I think this is an easy yes, at first blush. OEL won't provide the same numbers as Weber probably will, but if he costs 1/15th what Weber does then it's easy to justify. OEL has a much better dollar/point ratio - which is huge in a cap league - even if his point totals are a bit lower. The pick upgrade is gravy. I'd make this deal just for the cap relief. Also, if you've got Letang and Karlsson you don't really need Weber. Do it!

I like the OEL side here as well, the cap relief and term on that 1 dollar contract is great, the 9th overall is nice as well and just makes it a definite yes from me.

If that means you can keep Letang and Karlsson you have to accept it.

I have siad this for two years now 2013/14 will be OEL's official coming out party. He will out score Weber and will be considered no longer a can't miss prospect but among the very elite at the position. With the cap savings he is the clear choice here.

Pretty much no reason not to accept this. It's a must-do.

I would do that for sure. OEL has a very high ceiling, he is definitely a better option and the value of the trade is even better for you if it will allow to resign those other defenseman. I see Weber is $15 dollars and OEL is $1, what is the actual cap max of your league? OEL seems to have a massive amount of value for the contract he is on.

    Accept it for sure.

Amazing deal for you. Do it. Weber is great but let's face it, Preds don't have that much offensive talent for him to work with.
OEL has such great upside and the trade-off in cap is so utterly in favor of the Phoenix Dman.
