Goalie gurus.... can I have your opinion on Jonathan Bernier? He has been dropped in one of my leagues and I have a feeling he'll go unnoticed.

Do you think that he will be traded? Why or why not?
Do you still think he has elite netminder potential?

I can honestly say that I have never seen him play. I dont know if he is worth a roster spot.

He's young and occasionally looks raw due to lack of experience but more often than not, he looks extremely mature. Good reflexes, hybrid style, lacks a bit of size.

Will he likely be traded? Yes but nobody knows when. Could he make it as a starter now? I think so. Will he be a really good starter? I really can't say at this point.

I'm no guru but I think he definitely has starter potential - I would be very surprised if he wasn't moved in the off season. Who would you be dropping to pick him up?

Tough call on Bernier right now. It's still very fluid on where he'll end up. Anywhere from sticking in LA, to Minny, NJ,PHX,etc etc. I'd take a flier on him if u can pick him up on the cheap and just stash him away. Personally, I think he's very much starter material, but let's find out what team is in front of him. So yea I'd snatch him up if you have a droppable player. Bernier could prove to be Gold down the road.

PD, I wouldn't have to drop anyone. I've got two open spots on the roster already. I've got two 2nd round picks to use up.

Any other notables available? IMO Bernier is a guy worth taking, unless there is a better option...

There's a good bunch available. Obviously this draft class is available, but also Ryder, Marcus Johansson, Paajarvi, Rundblad, Burmistrov, Craig Smith...

Why isn't bondon chiming in? FFS...

I'll go out on a limb to say that I believe Bernier has more future value than any of the guys you just listed AW. You may have to wait a season but he will get there - he is good.

You gotta jump on that AW. It blows me away that another GM would just drop him since he is one of the most talented young goalie options out there

bernier is the best option of all the players you have listed... using a spot on him is a great idea and he certainly has starter potential... there are a number of teams going to be making moves in net so he will be sought after this offseason for sure

I'm of the belief that Bernier will be a top 10 goalie in this league for a long time the second he get's moved. His Mechanics are fabulous!!! I would snatch him in a second if I was you. Id say he get's moved in the summer for sure, unless LA wins the cup again and Bernier for some reason needs to come in and replace Quick.
