I think that would go poorly for the Canucks. For the sake of their fans I hope they get someone else.

I haven't put any thought behind it but the pun was too good to resist.

And when it is a fate that doulos wouldn't wish upon Canucks fans you know it is bad.

Yea Vigneault was definitely the problem in Vancouver, not declining talent and poor management.

Personally I think Mike Gillis should be right beside him on the unemployment line. Vigneault wasnt really the problem there. He had a shallow line up to work with due to injuries and still think Gillis dropped the ball on the whole Loungo fiasco. Either way, its usually the coach that falls on the blade when things dont go well.

Totally agree.. Gillis should be gone aswell.. It won't take Vigneault long to find a new job..

I think Gillis should have gone before AV. The Luongo fiasco hurt the coach's ability to do his own job. Every time a goalie start was announced it was followed up by dozens of questions and speculation. Must get annoying after a while.

Vancouver still had a solid team. Sometimes you can't make trades because the trade isn't there. Roy was a decent trade, but he's not playoff material, so I guess that makes it bad. Now if he could have been a 3rd line center, that would be a little different.

They just got outplayed. So that falls on either players or coaches.

To be honest, I'd love to see the Canucks slip down into obscurity.

I think if they could trade the Sedins, and not together, they'd get some solid stuff, but something tells me those boys won't be separated.

To be fair, I've been a big 'fire Vigneault' fan for at lease 3 yrs.

He has a poor track record of working in young players (of the skill variety)... does anyone really think that if Kesler couldn't check and play D he ever would have made a dent on the 'Nucks roster?
Vigneault also too often resorts to line juggling...

There is also a tendency for players to get on his shitlist and stay there (Ballard, for example).

Add in the consistently get out-coached in the post-season and it is definitely time for a change.

Is Tippett's contract up or something? He's got a good thing going in PHX.
