Default Jones or Faulk, and then it still gets tough.

I have the 1st and 7th pick in the first round of our draft. All players drafted in the first have to be put on out active roster and we can not exceed 20 players, I picked Grigs last season and he rode my bench all season because I did not want to lose him.

I traded Dubynuk and Josi last week for Stewart and Clutterbuck, 4 G is overkill and Josi was the man to drop. Now clutterbuck seems like the man to drop but I have to drop a 2nd player if I feel the pick is a upgrade. Should I keep Faulk and draft Barkov or drop him and take Jones. What if I take Barkov and Jones is available at 7th, this is not easy for me. My team is finally looking like it might contend. We draft 3 rounds but the 2nd and 3rd are for the farm, I have a few guys ready to step up also.

All of your farm player are Forwards, so you should draft a D for sure this year. I'm a huge fan of Seth Jones, if you can get him pull the trigger. And what about keeping Faulk too ?

You have plenty of good forwards steping up like Nyquist, Zidane Jad, Morin and Scheifele ... so do you really need Barkov ?? Probably this way is the one I choose.

If not then Barkov and Jones probably be my choice.

I think your question is this.

Would you rather have Faulk and Barkov or Jones.

I'd rather have Faulk and Barkov.

This helps a little, so you think I should drop Clutterbuck and pick Barkov at 3rd and also keep Faulk. Still have a issue because I pick again at 7th, is there anyone else who you guys think I should drop that would be less value than a top 7 pick.

My thinking was pick Jones, drop Faulk. I might regret that.
Pick best available at 7th and drop Clutterbuck.

I wouldn't hesitate to drop Nabokov for 7th overall (one of Shinkaruk, Monahan, Lindholm, etc)

Depending on how valuable goalies are in your league, I would absolutely drop Conacher for 7th overall too.

I agree totally. Jones is a stud but Barkov could be a slick point producer and Faulk is one of my favorite young defensemen in the NHL - I expect a decent breakout from him soon. At their peaks, I don't think there will be a huge difference between Faulk and Jones, offensively speaking.

I'm with Mr Guru - Barkov and Faulk over Jones, and then I'd drop Morin and take Lindholm, Nichushkin or Ristolainen at 7. Or maybe Nurse, depending on which you prefer and where they end up.
