Quick is so good. Any other goalie and this game is 4 or 5 nothing.

He's making a strong case for sure. I also think Rask has been phenomenal, especially since late in the 3rd period of Game 7 vs. the Leafs. Of course Sid is in the mix as well.

Yeah, it will depend on who wins the Cup. Something just tells me Pens don't make it all the way. Just a gut feeling.

Sharks found a way to pull it off even though they kept getting caught in their own zone. Let's see if they can do some damage in LA.

Who wins tonight people? I'm hoping and betting on the Sharks taking some momentum into LA. They've found a way to score, now if only they could just steal this one. They could win back home.

Am I the only one finding the shitflinging war about diving hilarious? Galiardi calls Quick a flopper, Doughty comes back calling Galiardi a diver. All the while Doughty's captain is one of the biggest divers in the league.

When VAN complained about SJ's diving they were whiners [and admittedly, VAN is hypocritical to gripe about this]. This doesn't make them wrong in their assessment though. I watched game 4 and thought SJ got several generous calls b/c of this. Every team does this to some extent. The generalizing isn't helpful nor is the mud-slinging. I wish refs would simply start calling obvious dives as penalties without the even-upper. It shouldn't be 2 min for hooking and 2 for diving. If it was primarily a dive it wasn't a hook. If it was primarily a hook it wasn't a dive. The game happens too quickly to be able to always see this, but the refs would do us all a great favor by just calling the obvious ones. Galiardi's antics in that last game were embarassing, but if the refs are going to call even 30% of that it's hard to argue he shouldn't keep doing it.

Yeah, I would say the diving was going both ways even in the last game.

I agree that there are times when calling one OR the other is appropriate. However, I have no problem with a penalty being called, and then the refs essentially saying "Yeah that was a penalty but you tried to make me look stupid, so here's 2 minutes for you as well."

So I hate Jon Quick now. Guy is ruining my hopes and dreams single-handedly. Some incredible saves there.

    That was bizarre...

If he keeps this up does that bode well for Bernier getting moved? Man I hope so...
