Another great matchup - Battle of California. Kings are the favorites as the defending champs. Lets see if Thornton and co. can change the playoff reputation Sharks have.

I think the rest the Sharks got with their sweep will pay dividends in this series.

Voynov and Quick had great games. Sharks just couldn't get anything past Quick even though there were good chances. Didn't play a bad game and had some moments where they controlled the play for long stretches. Just need to finish (isn't that what was said about St. Louis?). Hope they figure it out. I think they need to put some big bodies in front of Quick and just hop for dirty goals.

We'll be hearing this at least a few more times before the end of the series.

Torres will have disciplinary hearing for his hit on Stoll. The hearing is in-person (unless Torres waives his right for it) which means there's a possibility for 5+ game suspension. So Torres' playoffs may be over.

I really dislike Torres and would like to see him removed from the NHL.

But why is this even a suspension? Does the league have a different view than the standard one out there that shows a head hit or something? This looked like a simple hockey hit.

Because this is how the league works Reputation and fan-reaction have a lot more to do with it than the reality of the situation. I agree with your assessment... This is a reputation call, plain and simple.
