What do you think about this trade:

I receive Pietrangelo for my first pick and this pick is the first overall...

    Point only keeper

1st overall in 2013 draft for Piets? Not a chance, I don't care what the settings of your league are.

You need to ask yourself two questions to decide this.
    1) Are you stacked at F and have nothing at D? I would work on that deal if I were stacked at F.
    2) Would you trade Tavares, Hall, Kane straight up for Pietrangelo? That is essentially what you would be doing by making that trade.

It looks like a full keeper so I'm presuming your draft will consist primarily of the 2013 draft class making it more like Jones/Mackinnon/Drouin for Piets, is that right?

For the most part your team looks to be very young with good pieces but still a ways away from being a solid contender. If you had a "win now" type roster I'd say to go for it, but as it stands I think you should hang on and go for Jones. Piets is pretty special but Jones could be even better and I'd guess that's how the other GM feels as well.

if it is a prospect draft pick, then yeah u did the right thing, a top d in a league that counts your 12 best forwards and 5 best d? the prospect will take a few years to break into your top 12 best point getters, where as ap is there right now.
edit: with u having 3 starters and only 2 counting i would trade one away.
    Malkin
    Semin
    Mikko koivu
    Brad Richards
    Mike Richards
    Huberdeau
    Galchenyuk
    Couturier
    Eberle

those 9 will probably be performing better then any forward drafted this year.
    Zibanejad
    Kuznetsov
    Forsberg
    Nyquist

would compete with the top picks points for 2-3 years

your d are fairly solid, but always room for AP.

you also could add some age to your team, a player who has 3-5 years left like jarome could help put you over the top now and win again.
