No I would say I am a realistic, knowledgable fan. We are the underdogs. Not expecting a win and being happy if it happens is better than acting all cocky like the guy on this page.

Second of all, defence and goaltending win in the playoffs. Simple as that.

Wake up and see the Pens aren't as perfect as you think they are. You're telling me it's men vs boys, well it was also that against the Isles, and the Pens wouldn't have advanced if Nabokov played even above AHL level goaltending.
Who am I? I am someone who has a brain and logic, unlike yourself who is rambling on about nonsense. You guys won a series against a WAY overrated team and now your're trying to compare yourself against a dynasty. How about you enjoy what you guys were given in the 1st round, which is IMO the weakest of the 8 seeds in the East and go to sleep. I'm not being cocky the proof is in the pudding. We came 1st in the conference for a reason, just because we slipped up a bit in the 1st round all of a sudden you can compare the medicore Sens to the Pens?

Quality is quality and the Pens have it. They haven't played even close to their potential whereas the Sens are playing above and beyond expectations. But talk is cheap and we'll have to sit and watch the series I guess. Good luck.

PS: Btw you're right defense and goaltending do get it done in playoffs. But unfortunately, I can probably play on the Sens top line and my 5 year old niece can easily play the wing.

PENS IN 4 or 5! LETS GO PENS! Put these kids to zzzzZZZZzzz!

The Pens are currently the closest team IMO to be considered a dynasty besides the Red Wings.. A healthy Crosby and the Pens could have had another cup already but its ok they'll just win this year

I think the Isle series just makes the Pens a better team. Wake up call.

Ditto for the bruins when they finally beat the leafs either tonight or tuesday.

I hesitate to call the Wings in 97/08/02 a dynasty, and I'm a Wings fan, so the Pens being a loaded team right now doesn't bring them any closer to being a dynasty. They're not close.

Adversity and determination goes a long ways...

......and the Senators have absolutely nothing to lose in this series.....
as much as i took the pens yours is very realistic statement

If your Wings cannot be considered a dynasty then I don't think the NHL will ever see a dynasty again.. have to remember the NHL has evolved since its inception (e.g. increased teams, quality, and competition) and what the Wings have accomplised over the past decade is the definition of a dynasty IMO. The Pens are far away but the closest with the pieces they have to make a Wings like run... and will.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. A healthy Crosby is a lot to ask for.

There are no dynasty's in the NHL and probably won't be in this era.

My thought is I like Anderson more than the flower or Vokoun. So I took Sens in 7.
