    Default Going for Taylor Hall

    Team in sig.

I might have the chance of getting Tayler Hall but he wants Huberdeau + maybe picks/prospects.

Should I go for it or maybe save Huberdeau to a trade for better goalies?
I would prefer to keep him but if i can improve my team then i am ready to let him go.

Depends on who the (+ maybe picks/prospects) are.

Straight up, I would easily take Hall

Depends what the prospects/picks are, of course. I'm sure that any goalies that are available for Huberdeau are also available for Hall. Straight across I'd take Hall as well.

not to hijack the thread but i am in a similar situation where i am trying to get Hall and I have Huberdeau which he likes. How evenly matched are these two from a fantasy perspective ?

Hall was a top-10 scorer this past season. He finished with 50 points in 45 games.

If Huberdeau finishes as a top-10 scorer, that would exceed at least my expectations. Plus, he's stuck on a bad team in Florida.

Take the guy that's more proven, and with better teammates for at least the next few years. Hall easily.

I have both and it's not even close. Hall for all reasons mentioned. I'm hoping Huberdeau wins Rookie of the Year and I can sell high on him. Great talent, but likely a few years from even coming close to Hall.

You get the better player... Make the deal happen..

In a 16 team dynasty, the more elite players you get the better.. Adding Hall is a great young player to have.. Realistically I can't see how you lose the deal unless you think Hubs will be a 90+ player..

Unless the Hub+ is a ridiculous but I can't see it being so, unless he asks for Tavares, Spezza or Eriksson...

    I now know the +

The trade would look like this.

    Hall + ?

    For

    Huberdeau + Grigorenko or Jake Allen + a 2nd round pick 2014

I felt it was a steep Price, then he told i could get a prospect too but the only interesting ones he got are Strome, Niklas Jensen, Petr Mrazek and I didnt really know what to do.

    What do you think

Hubs/Grigs/2nd and you get Hall coming back.

I'll sign off on that one.

I'd doubt he'd take Strome for Grigerenko, but that's what I'd try 1st......if he says no? I would easily ask for Jensen to get that deal done for Hall

Try Strome 1st. It's not the end of the world if you end up keeping Huberdeau, so don't feel pressured.
