    Default Giroux next season

What is your take on this guy? I like hi but was generally disappointed in him until the last month. If you were to trade him what kind of return would you look for? Thanks

He's still top 5 in my books. I would expect at least PPG, likely more. Depends on the format, but points-wise, Giroux, Tavares and Ovie are just a tier below the big "3".

I think Giroux could easily play all 82 games next season and i see him between 75 and 85 points then.

I wouldnŽt trade him unless i get a player like Toews or E.Staal in return, but iŽd still prefer Giroux out of these 3.
I would trade him for Tavares, but i doubt that will happen.

Right now i would stick with him.

I still think he is an elite player.. this season is a reflection of the importance of a good puck moving defence.. when the forwards have to skate the puck out, rather then have it moved up quickly, they have to play the full ice; which makes it harder...

I think if there defence is restored a bit then he will return to form..

He's a point-per-game player unless he gets another Jagr to play with.

Lol. Remember all that silliness when people were saying Giroux was the best layer in the world? Stupid Lavvy.

Over a PPG. Jagr who? He has Voracek and Hartnell next year. If they get some D help the whole team will bounce back.

Keep clocking him in for at least a point per game pace. I'm not sure why people are so down on the 48 in 48 he posted this season. Still a top 20 performance in a year where one hot streak was all it took to vault 20 spots in the scoring rankings.

    I agree with this.
I'd peg these three guys as the next three as well... all around the 85pt mark.

This year, I was delighted to have a top 6 pick in four one-year leagues, because it ensured I'd get one of Crosby/Malkin/Stamkos/ Tavares/Giroux/Ovechkin.
I got Tavares with the #6 pick in two leagues (and finished 2nd/14 & 2nd/12) and got Malkin in two (finishing 3rd/15 & 7th/20).

I'm probably lower on Giroux than most right now because who knows what the Flyers will look like next year. The Flyers have a lot of big decision and cap constraints so its anyones guess who will line up for them. That being said, I wouldn't be actively shopping Giroux either. Unless you can get Crosby/Malkin/Stammer/OV/Tavares I don't see the point of moving Giroux.

The flyers tried ot get Vanek at the deadline. If they get it done in the off season then he's a ppg. Actually both of them will easily be. If they don't get him anyone to play with he's 70ish points.

I agree with the general sentiment -- Giroux will be fine. He is a top-end talent and the designed catalyst of that offense. Pencil him in for a tick above a point per game, with room for more depending on how the Flyers tweak the team in the offseason.

He is the golden boy in Philadelphia and no one else is close...he will remain the focal point of the Flyers offense. The issues for the Flyers are cap constraints, talent at W and D and their impatience with building a team. Voracek is the best W they have, Hartnell is on his last legs, Briere who really is a C is likely gone, Read and Simmons are decent and the two young guns, Couturier and Schenn, are both natural C...Flyers have some farm talent, but its thin/untested. If they can shore up G and D, they should be better, but the Flyers will need to enhance their W and depth to help Giroux get to the next level...that will likely take 1-2 years so PPG is a fair estimate short term
