I do. And I finally gave up on him and moved him at our trade deadline.
Boy he's looking good in Rangers Blue.

Agree that he has looked good but small sample size alarm bells are ringing all over the place here.

It all depends on consistency. Some games he is really noticeable and is one of the best players on the ice (like the last two), and others, you wonder why the guy is even in the NHL. Hopefully we see the former a lot more than the latter for the next few games/years!

Yeah, it's east to overreact to quick production but I wouldn't fall for it just yet. Brassard needs to prove it next season - if he does, then he could be a decent option. Remember when Latendresse exploded for a short time after his trade?

I picked him up off waivers the day he was traded. I could be wrong, but I am shopping him this summer as a sell high.

Not really sure what I could get for him, but if I can use him to make a package look like a winner to another GM and upgrade a keeper. He is gone.

It's not just him though, Moore has been looking good as a Ranger also. Could it be the team atmosphere?

He has always been a bit streaky -- just sucks 'cause I acquired him when he was coming off of his impressive 2nd year, held him for four years of crapola (while making the sleeper list in every magazine, every year), then finally pulled the 'chute only to see him rack up 11 in 13 and keep rolling in the playoffs.

ive alsi had him thriughthe lean years and had a chnce to grab him after the trade for my current team below. hes always been a dark favorite of mine and he looks real good in NYR. i am sruggling internally as he may be a drop not making the keeper list, but am afraid he would get snatched up...possibly a trade, but i find trades are hard to make in the offseason with GMs trying to trim the fat to get to the max keper number.

It's amazing what a trade does for some players.. Brassard just seemed like he wasn't playing with any fire in his belly in Columbus.. Now Torts has him focused and doing what he did in junior, racks up the points.. Next year will be huge for Brassard.. I feel he still has alot to prove..

The only issue I see for next season is having Stepan and Richards in front of him. There is only so much time to go around.

I agree there are only so many minutes available, however could it be possible that the Rangers could be looking to move Richards now that Brassard has shown what he can do in a different environment? Richards is playing on the 4th line at the most crucial time of the year... Is it that far fetched? They've already moved Gaborik and its not like Richards has lit it up on Broadway...

I'd have to agree with metaldude and the rest who say to tap the brakes a little here. He had some hot streaks when with CBJ, IIRC.

I'd say that his prospects are interesting going into next year, but he's not going to keep up this near-PPG pace that he's been on. Stepan is still the better player, and he's not a PPG player either by any stretch.

I own him and will see what I can get for him this summer. I don't mind keeping him and hoping he breaks out though. Nice that he finally seems to be getting there.
