Kopitar/Lundqvist vs. Rask/Letang

My D is pretty weak and my goalies are getting up there in age so I'm looking to get a bit younger in nets and add a solid Dman.

What do you think of this offer?

I think you should be asking for a bit more here. Lundqvist has a lot of good years left so don't panic on moving him. You are taking all the risk here with Letang. He cannot stay healty. Rask is a downgrade on Lundqvist; not by much but by a small amount. Letang is a downgrade on Kopitar just because of his injury history.

trading lundy isn't a bad idea if you're worried about an aging goalie, but a goalie who's shown no signs of aging is exactly what you'd be offering with top value. No goalie you get from year to year is going to perform as consistently as Lundy. I would probably shop Miller around along with possibly Sedin, maybe go after a player who has a younger LW like Hall or something like that and see what kind of D man you could snipe off of him. Keeping Lundy while getting a younger goalie like lets say, Holtby or Niemi wouldn't be a bad idea.
Point is you're giving up a top center and arguably the most consistent goalie in the whole league -- I would try to change it up and see if you can get a better D man who might play more than 60 games a season. If you're set on Letang, then I'm sure you could make a deal to get him but if there are other options then share share and I'll give all the opinion I can hah. I dunno if I like this deal..

The problem isn't Lundy, its Brodeur and Thomas who are pretty much irrelevant, maybe like Jagr after this year?

Maybe a Kadri/Miller, Kopitar/Miller type trade for Letang/Rask? I would have to see how each player faired out in your league but another option to consider..

At the end of it all, I like the looks of Rask and Lundy in net; you'll be solid there for the next few seasons..
