Default Michel Therrien's a bit sensitive, no?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this, but after the most recent press conferences, my opinion of Michel Therrien has taken a hit. He seems like a great coach, but man, stop with the drama of saying Paul MacLean's a bully and just have your team play hockey! I'm neither a Sens nor a Habs fan, and I chose the Sens to win this series--because of Therrien, now I really want the Sens to win because I can't deal with Therrien's whining for another series (at least).

What's that? Paul MacLean took a timeout with 17 seconds left while up 6-1 after 230+ penalty minutes were racked up? Who the hell cares. Even if he was making a statement and rubbing it in, deal with it and beat the crap out of the Sens next game. Stop whining that MacLean is being unsportsmanlike, when he could've possibly called the timeout to tell his players to cut the ***t and not do anything stupid with a huge game 4 coming up. Any Habs fans out there care to defend Therrien's recent "woe is me" and "I'm the victim" attitude during press conferences?

Good on MacLean for calling a timeout. After Prust's "fat walrus" comment the last game I would've done the same thing. Let the whiny babies stew in the loss!!!

That said, if I call a time out on Madden with 10sec left when I'm up big even the computer generated fans know enough to boo...

Therrien is probably trying to take the focus of the complete mental meltdown that his players had.

I am pretty sure at that oint Maclean and the sens were sitting back willing to let the game run out....but then Bourque decides he wants to get a couple shots in at Turris too...wtf.

I think thats why the time out was called.

If you dont want this over quick, then fine....lets drag it out some more.

An d then they shoot the puck intentionally at one of the sens....and i was positive Prust was gonna run over Anderson at the end....

Man up. You lost, move one, why drag it out like that...

I saw all of that too. Therrien needs to get his team playing more disciplined and quit blaming the Sens and their coach for such "disrespect".

Exactly, it's a big douche move and completely uncalled for, Therrien shouldn't let that shit get to him but at the same time I don't understand why MacLean would choose to add fuel to an already well stoked fire. Show a little class you fat walrus.

maclean has no reason to show class after all the shit the habs pulled. what a joke, that was one of the worst hockey games i've watched in terms of "class".

If you watched the game then know that the Sens were almost as bad, outside the 1st half of the game it was a shitfest. But that's even besides the point, even my grade school coaches new how to show class and sportsmanship in the face of a game like this, a lesson that MacLean has sadly not yet learned.

i watched most of the 2nd and 3rd period. obviously the sens werent playing a completely clean game either, but habs took it to the next level.

if anything, that timeout by maclean should benefit the habs since it will give them extra motivation to beat the sens.

i hate when coaches do that, i recall a team doing that to the red wings and babcock was furious. but in this case i cant really argue it, the habs were playing like bitches for most of the game, so good on maclean for sticking the thorn in even deeper. if habs dont keep their composure and win the next game the series is done.

and on a side note, i dont see what all the fuss is over subban. how is he somehow the dirtiest player on the habs? i saw a lot worse from guys like white and bourque. and let's not forget that if it wasnt for subban, the habs probably wouldnt be in the postseason, or would be facing pittsburgh first round at best. how the hell is he a cancer? 29 other NHL teams would love to have him on their team. okay maybe 28, not sure if LA would work with richards there.

The Sens were not almost as bad. If I were a Habs fan I'd be real quiet the next day or so. A Habs fan talking about the class of McLean is a joke.

Therrien was trying to deflect the crappy game his team just played to the media. He was trying to change the subject so he wouldnt have to face the standard questions about why his team just got their asses handed to them, and I am not just talking about the score.
