Default Time to trade some play-off specialists

Play-Offs are a time were some players really step up, play their very best hockey and finally seem to be the players we were all dreaming about in the regular season.

Im a big fan of using hype that is created by strong play-off performances to get the highest possible return in trades.

Im sure we all know the story of Daniel Briere who is looking like another player in the play-offs and suddenly shows more offense than in all regular season games combined.

So who are the players who are overperforming at the moment or in general in the play-offs.

The first one coming to my mind is Okposo. He really looked fantastic in the first three games, but to be fair he finished the regular season quite strong, so he might be for real and finally starts to produce.

Last year i traded away Sean Couturier after the very strong series against the Penguins, i just thought he will be on the 3rd line for some years and never really be the point producer he was in these 6 games. So far it looks i was right

So who do you think is sell high play-off guy this year? Im curios to read some names.

    Pascal Dupuis.
Yes... he lines up with Crosby.
He also made only $1.5m per year and this off-season will be his chance to sign that one, big, contract. If he doesn't return to PIT... his value drops WAY down.

    Mike Ribeiro
Similar condition. He finished top 25 in fantasy hockey value... but he, too, is UFA. Do the Caps resign him? If the answer is no, he fantasy value could drop down.

Can't think of any more off the top of my head.

Someone that pops into my head right off the draw is David Krecji. He's one of those guys who's been talked about as havin the mythical point-per-game upside, but, especially in multi-cat leagues, his value is limited -- even if he hits those 70s point totals. He isn't really a goal scorer, and he doesn't exactly fire a lot of pucks to the net, nor does he take enough penalties / throw body checks.

When the Bruins won the Cup, however, Krecji led the team in goals and points, and was basically a point-per-game player over that playoff run. This series so far against TOR, Krecji has a whopping 7-points (including a g and 2a tonight, albeit mostly courtesy of lucic's strong play). He could be a PRIME candidate to sell high on based on his history of quality playoff production. And if Lucic continues to play like an absolute BULL, then his chances of benefitting are even greater.
