Default Galchenyuk vs Drouin or Mackinnon

Would you prefer Galchenyuk over one of the two new guys or no?

    This is for fantasy purposes.

Looking down the road I would rank them like this for fantasy...

    Drouin
    Galchenyuk
    MacKinnon

Yep! Drouin with winger eligibility trumps whatever faceoffs MacKinnon and Galchenyuk might win. None of these three will be big with hits and PIM, so that's not relevant.

So in a salary cap league, one would trade Galchenyuk for the number 2 pick for a chance at Drouin?

Agree with Dak's ranking. I like Drouin best.

Galchenyuk is not in their class. Droun, Mackinnon, Galchenyuk.

I'd have him on par with NM, but Drouin is a step above fantasy-wise.

I really want to see Drouin in TB playing with Stamkos for the next decade !!

I will chosse him 1st OV this year in Point only pool !

This kid is unreal, a formidable work ethic, and seem to be a nice teamate too.

    Good luck Drouin !

Agreed 100%. I too will take JD with my 1st overall pick. Crossing my fingers TB lands him.

I too agree with Dak's ranking above.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

I have a pick that is guaranteed to be either 1 or 2 and I definitely would not trade it away for Galchenyuk. I think both players are superior to him.

Nate Mac brings a more physical game than Drouin and Galy and should help more in the PIM/Hits department. He fights for the puck like a rabid dog in the corners and in front of the net and will take his share of penalties in the process (I'd expect Stamkos like PIM and Hit totals).

Depending on league settings I could go either way on Drouin vs Nate Mac and Galy would be in a very close 3rd.

    1. Drouin
2a. Galchenyuk (I disagree Big Ev about Galchenyuk not being in the same class as MacKinnon)
    2b. MacKinnon

Draft accordingly. Can't go wrong with any of the three.

People are pretty high on these guys, but these are only prospects so what sort of roster player would you be willing to give up for them? Any of these guys?

For what its worth, after watching my fair of Moose games the past couple seasons with MacKinnon and Drouin I can tell you both MacKinnon and Drouin dont back away from the physical part of the game. Both are quite happy to throw hits around the Q and take their fair share as well. Niether are big guys (both are listed at 5"11" and around 175lbs) but they deliver some pretty solid checks out there.

I still like Drouin over the other two but I would rate MacKinnon very close to Galchenyuk. He wouldnt be that far behind him IMO.
