    Default PK Subban

    Helllo All,

So I would love to get some feedback on where to value Subban going into next year (PK not Malcolm). I have a chance to acquire him but not really sure what to expect from him and who of my forwards I would give up for him as I always have a hard time doing forwards for D.

This is a full Dynasty league with the stats:
G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, SOG, FW, HIT, BLKS (added next year)

So I guess the question is for a multi cat league like this do you see him as a top 3 defenseman over the next few years? I feel like he would be a stud especially with PIMs even with a drop off in PTS as I expect but maybe someone else sees something I don't.

For the team in my signature who would you be willing to move for him? Does it require a Nash or Vanek?

    Thanks as always!

Short answer is yes he is a top 3 defenceman in a multi cat league. He is above average in all peripherals so even without elite points he is a stud.

I would give up Vanek for him in a heartbeat. Nash would also be a solid trade.

you might start a bit lower and offer Hossa, maybe try to sell high on Ribeiro, plus a worse D (Goligoski maybe) and a pick.

Anyway if you have the chance to grab PK I would do it.

Get him as soon as you can!

If it was me, I would easily ship Vanek for Subban.

Why don't you probe first. Ask him who from your team he would want, and go from there. If he asks for someone you could happily part with then, well then you're both happy.

If I were the owner you wouldn't have a chance with only Nash, Vanek, or Hossa. He's a stud and you better be prepared to pay up to acquire him.

If you asked Nash for Subban my answer would be, "... and you're going to add?"

I think it may be too late to acquire him without overpaying, especially in multi-cat leagues.

No doubt there. I'd being asking for Nash or Vanek, + top prospect D+ 1st round, top 10 pick to get it started.

Ya, if you can still get him for either, I'd do it now. It may be too late for a straight up exchange.

I own Subban and in my league we have a defensemen points category, so that said I would never move him. But Nash + Vanek is pretty legit IMO.

It really depends what his team looks like.. If he's weak in C, offer a C..if he's weak in G, throw out a G..

But either way, if the potential to get PK is there, I would try and make a few offers..

I'm in a new dynasty league and drafted Rask early in round 2 and PK in the 3rd round. Those two are what everyone wants, but at this point, WHY would I trade two of the youngest, brightest (fantasy player-wise) players in our league at anything less than an overpay?

Most would agree that PK is top three at his position, so for me, if I was trading him away, I'd be looking for a top 3 player at another position and even then maybe I wouldn't feel right dealing PK.

I agree with whomever said ask the guy what he is looking for in return for PK, so that you don't piss him off with an innocent lowball offer.

Bingo Comish - I was approached about Subban a couple of weeks ago and as I need goaltending I started the conversation with his Lundqvist straight up. Value for value - Subban isn't leaving my team for anything less that a top 3-5 player from another position - Vanek for sure is a non-starter and Nash I think would need to be subsidized to make him attractive enough.

Drift, get your mitts on Subban ASAP if possible. He is an elite talent and will be among the top of his position. If it only takes one of Vanek or Nash to land Subban you made out like a bandit.

Thanks guys I tried but couldn't pull it off. Another guy paid a pretty penny for him and I wasn't willing to go all in.
