    Default Jenner or Jaskin

Given the cats G, A, STPTS, PIM and +/-, who would you rather own, Boone Jenner or Dmitrij Jaskin?

    Thanks!

I'd also have to go with Jaskin. Boone Jenner is pegged to be a very good 2 way forward in CBJ but I like the offensive abilities of Jaskin more.

    Thanks guys.

Anyone worried about the logjam up front in St. Louis?

That certainly has to be taken into consideration. Right now, I dont see Jenner popping into the top 6 in CBJ anytime soon. He's better suited for a 3rd line centre type of role himself.

That being said, you have to be encouraged by the opportunities that Jaskin has received so early in his career too.

Yes, there's a logjam but I don't let that sort of thinking affect how I value a player. Skill is skill and although they're both talented players, Jaskin is a more projectable top 6 guy with top line upside. As others have pointed out, Jenner projects more as a two-way top 9 guy with 2nd line upside.

I think Jaskin by a bit, personally. He's a top 6 guy eventually, while right now I think Jenner's a top 9 guy if he develops right.

i'm not convinced jaskin can improve his skating enough to be an effective offensive player in the nhl. hope i'm wrong.
