WTF was Phaneuf thinking?? In OT?? Wow, awful decision making.

I love the karma of Boston scoring after Horton risked getting decapitated on that one. As soon as he went down I knew Krejci had to score. That's just how that stuff works. Ultimate hero points to Nathan Horton.

That was heartbreaking... I really thought we were going to take this one.

Phaneuf is a ****ing moron... fanned on a perfect one-time too. He can't skate for shit, can't hit the side of a net and just makes bad decisions. I pray we don't re-up his contract.

Phaneuf is a ****ing idiot. How could he even think of taking himself out of the play at such a crucial point in the series? Men in beer leagues know better than to make that attempt. Beyond stupid.

I agree. Another horribly timed pinch.

But really...that OT was one of the most exciting I've seen....like ever.

Indeed. It was fantastic, just hate to see it end on a boneheaded play the Leafs captain. Yes, I was pulling for the Leafs here.

They mentioned it when Fraser got hurt....

Dion was going to get more minutes and that means it is only a matter of time until the mistakes start to show.
Unfortunately he is our best defenseman, but once he fanned on that one-timer feed, you could see that his timing was off.
Even the Horton hit was "off". The pinch was poorly time but he did not even hit Horton he just took his arm and his stick out.

On a positive note the Leafs really bounced back after giving up the lead. Kessel played his best game, MacArthur scored, Kadri was noticeable and Frattin was a valuable member of the team. The effort was there, but you can only make so many mistakes before you pay.

Unfortunately effort does not win games in the playoffs.

JVR was a beast on the puck tonight. I'd love to see the Leafs win the next 2 and force a Game 7.

Im pretty sure any real leaf fan knows phaneuf is miscasted by now. It's not his fault.
Second pairing guy, paid like a first pairing....but thats the reason we got him for nothing!

O'byrne although absolutely terrible with the puck he makes himself look like pronger compared to Komisarek without the puck. He plays defense. Komisarek doesn't. I actually like his game (without the puck) and that is why he is partnered up with our best puck carrier in Gardiner.

It was a good game. I loved it. The loss sucks but this playoff experience is priceless for this team. Exactly what we needed to grow and learn how to win.

Those guys were all amazing, but I think Lupes was heads and shoulders the best Leaf on the ice tonight.

He's grown on me so much this season that I think I'm going to get his jersey (especially now that he's locked in long-term). They should strip Phaneuf of the C and give it to Lupul IMO.
