Boston got lucky, they didn't deserve to win that series.

The officials were on their side and Rask was phenomenal, the only goals he couldn't stop were the goals he couldn't get to.

    Toronto got robbed.

What a hell of a game. Tough way to lose for the Leafs. Great effort though - gotta give them props.

The Bruins did get a little help from the officials but oh well. The blatant non-call on Lucic late in the game could have cemented victory for the Leafs. That said, the Leafs loosened up and you never do that. Rask made TWO saves that were off-the-charts insane and the Leafs D were terrible in their own zone trying to clear from the 3rd period on. The worst part is there is now only ONE team I like remaining in the playoffs - The Ottawa Senators.

I thought the non-call on the Kelly elbow on the Leaf player that drew blood was probably the worst non-call. I can understand letting some stuff go, but to miss that was pretty brutal.

Especially after the refs gave the Bruins two PPs on complete phantom calls.

This is true, I feel like when Frattin missed that chance the Leafs were totally deflated. Not only that, but did anyone else notice that when they had a shot at the open net the Leafs seemed to be more concerned with getting the puck in deep?

I could point out several ridiculous non-calls in this series that should've resulted in Toronto power plays.

    1. Marchand dove ALL series.
    2. Non call on Lucic.
    3. Reimer interfered with countless times.
    4. Chara pitchfork on Grabovski.
    5. Boston player pushes Toronto player into Reimer, Boston gets a power play.
    6. Several sketchy offside/non offside calls.
    7. Kelly elbows JVR in the face, draws blood. Should have been a double minor, NO CALL.

Seriously, the officiating was AWFUL in this series.

Well congrats to the Bruins on not giving up. Shame that the Leafs couldn't get it done even though so many of us wanted them to.

Checking out of this thread before it becomes completely swallowed up by bitching about the refs.

That's par for the course though at this point. The refs were stinkers tonight but definitely not the main factor in the Leafs loss - they showed their inexperience by playing conservative when they took the lead 4-1. When the Leafs made it 4-2, Carlyle should have regrouped his troops and told them to attack and pressure, not lay back, panic and handle the puck like a grenade.

    Bingo.
If Leafs win nothing about refs comes up. Every game in every playoff series has several questionable calls or non-calls. It's very simple, Leafs gave it up. They caused their own loss. Not the refs, nothing else.

Please don't make it worse people by crying about the refs. They didn't lose the seriese for the Leafs. Take it on the chin, Leafs didn't get the job done.
