I have to admit that I am enjoying the Leafs more and more as the season/playoffs go on. Wouldn't mind seeing them move on tonight.

I'm sold too. They are actually a very likable team IMO.

And he was a healthy scratch in Game 1.
Carlyle better face some heat for that decision. I don't think it's a coincidence that they were dominated in the one game Gardiner watched from the press box. Sure, other guys stepped up their play too, but their possession game is night and day when Gardiner plays and plays well.
I here what your saying gil but do u think it wouldve made a difference. The leafs were so nervous, perhaps overwhelmed in gm 1. And correct me if im wrong but didnt he make a couple of major gaffes in game 2?
Im just happy hes found his game. He definitely a difference maker like u say.

leafs lose game 1 even with gardiner.....no?

and yea, game 2 he made some very bad turnovers....i dont think he truly arrived till game 4.....he took over the series then

he played way better than ive ever seen him (Leafs/Marlies) since that point on...only 3 games but it is def the turning point for me....and i was a huge gardiner fan before too.

I just think Carlyle's lineup decisions are really odd sometimes, often to the detriment of the team. e.g. Starting a goon over someone like MacArthur or Frattin, and choosing Kostka over Gardiner etc.
Yeah ill agree ive been befuddled by a few of his decisions. Starting mclaren in game 1 was bad.
To be honest though hes been solid this season overall. While not perfect the leafs have bought into his system and the results have shown

Thank god quinn & wilson r not around. Gardiner may have been a career minor lgr.

Super game so far. I officially have a crush on this Leafs team, wish the Flyers played like them.

Man, does Grabovski deserve a goal or what? This guy takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I was never a fan, but he is winning me over. It seems like he has taken more hits than anyone in this series, and I am just impressed with the way he bounces back. Not a typical Russian. (Looked him up. He was actually born in Germany.)

The result of a play "looking" bad/guilty. The ref reacted to what he suspected happened, not what actually did.
