Default Western Conference Quarterfinals: (4) St.Louis Blues vs. (5) Los Angeles Kings

The defending champs sweeped Blues last year in the 2nd round of playoffs and did so this year during the regular season series too. Can the Blues finally pick up a win against LA?

Forgot to add a poll and can't do it anymore. Oh well. If it's needed, could a mod add it? Thanks.

This will be the hardest fought series IMO.

J-bo helps the Blues even more on the back end. This goes at least 6 games, maybe 7. I think LA hangs on to take it though.

These 2 teams deserve each other...seriously, Sutter vs. Hitch. There's almost nothing to tilt the scales numbers wise as these two teams are virtually identical in most statistical categories.

LA is THE best possession team in the league and M. Richards was bred to dominate come playoff time. It wouldn't surprise me if STL won. In fact as a NUCKS fan I'm rooting STL, but until someone proves otherwise...give me LA in 6.

Blues in 5, not even close unless Quick can return to last year's post season form - in that case, give me Blues in 7.

I think this is gonna be a pretty hard fought series.

I think this one all boils down to goaltending.

Elliott this year has shown instances of being god-awful and god-like. Quick has the more proven track record career-wise but has been fugly this year. Both teams are pretty deep at all positions.

I could see either team winning it in 7 games. I'll take the Kings.

No idea what to do here. Not even going to try and make sense of which way it could go, just going to enjoy. Kings in 7.

I think this series is the best bet to go 7 games in the west and the winner plays the hawks in the western final.

This is too close to judge. So because I don't want to face the Kings in another round, I guess I'm taking St. Louis in 7. This is a complete crapshoot.

It's a coin flip this year, but I'm going with Blues in 7.

I think whoever has the hotter goalie will win and Elliott's been the best goalie on the planet hands down over the past month.

Not exactly bold to state this but whoever survives this series is not going to go deep. Think Flyers-Penguins last year. Perhaps it won't be as high scoring but it will be a physical war and the winner will come out limping.
