Doesn't matter how unlucky/snakebitten/tightly covered these guys are... for what they are paid, they need to be delivering more than a combined 2 points in 12 games. Inexcusable.

They should be delivering more points, no doubt. But, this has been a pretty low scoring series on both sides. And their total contributions to the series (like many players on both sides) are not reflected in the box scores. Nash played quite well today. As an example, grinding along the boards and in the corner to keep the puck alive, then planting his generous hind quarters in front of the net and drawing a D-man with him who ultimately deflected the game winning goal. He contributed very nicely for his team today.

true, but the Caps are doing a phenomenal job of holding Nash constantly, but just subtly/briefly enough that the refs don't call them.

Plus Torts is too thick to line match much or try to seek an advantage for them

Lundqvist didn't steal this one. The Rangers were all over the Caps from start to finish. If Ovechkin doesn't score, the Caps won't win Game 7.

But that was when he was dynamic and playing great, he's finally having a good season this year after several disappointing seasons.

We'll see what happens, but I really believe they can shut him down.

Rangers with 13 blocked shots in the opening 20 minutes. Lundqvist is certainly all-world in net, but man does team defense like that sure help the cause.
