The Rangers have won two in a row! My Rangers in 7 prediction looks pretty good right now!

Yeah, that's some effort on the backcheck there by OV!? Wow. Good thing he's not being paid in excess of $9.5M a season for his defensive prowess and you know, effort.

Watching things like the World Juniors/Championships really makes you wonder about just how lazy many of the NHL players are. Maybe they are just "positionally sound", I don't know, but when you see players not in the NHL (I guess tournaments are an anomaly?) where back checking actually happens more than just in the playoffs, you wonder what the F are these guys getting paid so much money for?

Is it too much to ask players to give their all each shift, which is what 20-25 minutes most nights? I'm going to try this at my job and see how long it takes before I'm canned! No jokes about working for the government...

Ribeiro might not be my favorite player but he's had a fantastic year. Huge win for the Capitals and what an exciting overtime game.

Hopefully they can end this in New York in Game 6!

King ****ing Henrik steals another one. Best goalie in the game PERIOD.

Caught the last half of this one ... what a game!

But strange to see the power play calls go 5-0 in favor of the Rangers. Maybe it's not all that rare, but I can't remember the last time I saw a playoff game with one team getting no power play chances (or, I suppose, not a single penalty at all -- offsetting or otherwise -- being called on one of the teams).

Should be an epic Game 7 tomorrow night.

Both snakebitten more than anything, I think. Neither has really played that badly. Nash is getting a ton of defensive attention, and both have literally been an inch or less away on a few occasions so far.

Anyhow, two incredibly evenly matched teams here. Home team winning all 6 so far, and all but Game 1 (a 2 goal "blowout" -- sarcasm, btw) being 1 goal games. Great series.

Doesn't matter how unlucky/snakebitten/tightly covered these guys are... for what they are paid, they need to be delivering more than a combined 2 points in 12 games. Inexcusable.
