Would you guys trade Seguin/Quick for Giroux? And on the flip side, if you owned Giroux would you take this deal?

I can't keep both Quick and Seguin, so someone will either get dropped or traded for a pick if I can find someone interested in either player. There will be some solid goalies in the pool next year like Rinne and Howard.

In a keep 4 I would trade either or for Giroux. Having Crosby, Ovechkin, Giroux and Karlsson as your 4 keepers would be downright filthy.

Giroux is the single best player in the deal and thus, in a keep 4 format, you win the trade.

Having said that, I don't hate the option of just keeping Byfuglien as a your fourth. He had a bit of a down year, but in your pool format he'd be pretty golden and it would give you a miserable punch at D between him and Karlsson. With Crosby and Ovechkin returning to form you're pretty much set.

Again, I don't mind the trade, but D is a much harder position to lock up top end points while C [Giroux] is easier to get solid depth coverage. What kind of draft pick could you get for any of your players straight up?
    10 Team [keep 10 + 4 prospects]
    Scoring F=1[g/a]; D=2[g], 1[a]; G=2[w], -1[L], 1[OT], 2[SO] Top 12 F, 6 D, 2 G count

    Forwards

    Goalie
    Fleury/Price/Rask

It would probably be a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best. d-men go fairly late in my league. I grabbed Buf with my 2nd round pick and Petriangelo with my 5th. Bargains can be had and considering maybe 3 will be kept this year there will be plenty to choose from.

As a straight across deal I'd much rather have the Quick/Seguin side, but if you can't keep both of them the deal makes sense. If there are goalies like Rinne in the draft then so much the better. I'd make the deal given the circumstances.

W: Perreault, Atkinson, Dorsett, Jagr, Burrows, Zuccarello, Hagelin, Condra
D: Karlsson, Keith, OEL, Hamonic, Gudas, Hejda
    G: Price, Rinne
