Default Go for Jake Allen ?

In the League in signatur I am actually in the League finals at the moment, but it has been a very hard fight all season to get my 3 weekly goalie appearences especially after Ward went down. I had to sign Khabibulin later Giguere to have a chance.

I have been offered Jake Allen for Teevu Terevainen. I am probably going to say yes, I would love getting an extra strong goalie prospect to my roster but is he worth Terevainen or are my prospect goalies strong enough to carry me in the future ?

I would gladly give up Teravainan for Allan. He looks very promising and in my opinion is a NHL caliber goalie with starting potential. For what it's worth I'm also high on Teravainan but I always like the "more proven" prospects than guys I haven't seen play in the NHL.

Yes it's worth trading T.T. to get Allen.

I ended up swapping Terevainen for Jake Allen.

Nice Move. Allen is ready now and Teuvo is not close yet.

I'd make the move. You need help at G more than you do at F, and Teravainen is going to take a few more years to develop, whereas Allen is almost ready to take over.

Didn't see that you'd done it already. Solid move!

I don't think Allen will necessarily play a lot in the NHL next season but you still win the trade by a damn ton.

i agree with this one, great trade but expect to hang onto ALLen for a year minimum before he sees any significant action..unless Halak gets injured (again)

Halak and Elliott both have only one year left before they become free agents and with 3.75 million Halak is a "cheap" starter for what he did last year, so i can see a team offering him a big payraise and it might very likely not be St.Louis.

Allen had some very solide performances this season and the Blues might give him some more NHL games next season to see if he can carry the load of being the No1 in 2014.

I´m not saying Halak will not stay, but i think it´s possible that St.Louis let him walk and then go with Allen and Elliott.

    in other words: GOOD TRADE!
