Looking back at all the TV I've watched in my 40+ years, Breaking Bad is my favourite drama of all time. (Seinfeld for my comedy)
Which means anything else watched after is going to "relatively"... suck.

But yeah... Better Call Saul is the perfect transition... and REALLY good.
It actually works because you aren't/can't possibly expect it to live up to same hype, but it's solid.
Thumbs up to evans334 on that recommendation for a show to follow BB.

Wife and I are in-between shows. Ho hum.
I'm re-watching some s1/s2 episodes of Black Mirror with her - she hadn't seen them.
We watched the pig-fugger last night! LOL, love that one! What a predicament! A whole hour of "would you really do that?" with the wife...

I've been halfway through Fargo s2 over the entire fall/winter, gotta get back on that.
And I just started "Atlanta", about 3eps into that... pretty solid.

I'm still on the fence about where I'm going to invest April/May TV time...
Philly looking like they are heading to the playoffs - so I gotta keep my evening schedule O-pen!!!

I'm waiting for the next big thing....in a bit of a lull so I've gone back to watching old seasons of ER lol

I really enjoyed Altered Carbon. It's a little confusing at first wrapping your head around the concept of people living forever through different "sleeves" but that paves the way for unique and original storylines.

I suppose the moral of the story regarding Altered Carbon is: if you're in a different sleeve, it's ok to bang your hot sister because she really, really loves you.

I think I am the only person in the world who thought that Breaking Bad was “good”, but VERY overrated. Also, Aaron Paul was the best thing about it to me.

I watched the first couple of episodes of Altered Carbon and just could not get into it (and I wanted to like it - dark sci-fi is probably my favourite genre).

Haven't watched the new X-Files season yet, I'm not feeling too enthused about it. The 10th season was soooo bad I just don't want my love for the 90's seasons to be tarnished any further. Anyone seen it?

I recently got around to watching the Newsroom and it is phenomenal! I never ever in my wildest imagine thought I could get so hooked on a show about a newsroom... one of my top 10 shows of all time for sure.

Also finished Mindhunters which is also fantastic.

alot of great options out there but a blast from the past worthy of investing in is the hbo series Six Feet Under . I'm not sure if its available on netflix etc...

fwiw , the final season of The Americans begins in late march and AMC is running some marathon sessions of past seasons if you want to put your pvr to work

OMG, if you haven't started watching Big Mouth on Netflix yet, I recommend it. DO NOT watch this around your kids LOL! This show is friggin hilarious!

Exact same review for Shameless, starring William Macy. I may have mentioned it earlier in this thread.

Another really funny show is Grace and Frankie. Great cast and very entertaining. Jane Fonda, the hottest 80 year old in the universe, lol, Martin Sheen, Lily Tomlin and Sam Waterston (prosecutor on Law and Order) play the main roles.

Sheen and Fonda were married as were Tomlin and Waterston. Sheen and Waterston are partners in a law firm and fall in love with each other and the laughs begin. The show is in season 5.
