Landing Tavares - how much is too much?
I would love to get JT this off season, but it would cost me. I do have plenty to offer however. Since I can't keep both Quick and Seguin I could offer both plus my 1st (9th or 10th) for him. Is this too much? This guys has I heart JT pajamas LOL. Getting him to trade Tavares would be almost impossible and he's the type of guy who would rather lose than give up a player he hearts.
I would rather swap my 1st for his 2nd (top 5) but that may be asking a lot.
Also, lots of top tier goalies will be out there including Rinne, Lou and Howard. So replacing Quick may not be an issue.

If there'll be lots of top tier goalies available, then Quick wound't be an important piece in getting Tavares, one would think. You'd have to offer something the Tavares owner cannot easily acquire. This seems entirely too excessive. There might be top quality goalies available but you can't get one if you move your picks out and while Tavares is undoubtedly an improvement on Seguin or Quick or Niemi or Byfuglien or whomever you decide to make your final keeper he isn't so of an upgrade that moving those high picks for him would be worth it.
