Least concern is a hockey game but I've heard talk that depending on the manhunt situation the game tonight may be postponed. Has anyone else heard anything?

Morning skates cancelled. No word yet on whether the game will be postponed.

I'm can't see this game being played tonight & as a result the start of the playoffs gets pushed back. Boston can't play 3 games in 3 nights so the logical choice, if this game gets postponed, would be to play a day after the Ottawa game.

IMO the game has to be played tonight, unless the Pens are in lockdown all day. The day after the OTT game, the 29th, still gives Boston 3 games in 3 days: WSH on the 27th, OTT on the 28th, PIT on the 29th.

Pushing the playoffs back is a scheduling nightmare, particularly when stadiums are sometimes shared with NBA teams in the playoffs, plus concerts, etc.

i don't see the lockdown happening all day long but the public transit system might not start up again which could hurt the attendance but i believe the game will be played.
at least i am hoping it gets played because it's next to impossible to reschedule.

how long can a lockdown last really before people start getting cabin fever and start wandering the streets.

I wonder how this will work for Boston considering they already have the extra game scheduled on the 28th.

Either the league can completely screw them over, or push back the playoff schedule.

Either way, this is absolutely brutal for Bruins owners in H2H playoff formats!

Sure does. My opponent has Chara & Bergeron in our semi-final matchup. On the other hand, I've got Letang and Iginla (as well as Crosby and Malkin), so as far as tonight goes its a wash.

CBA rules against 3 games in a row notwithstanding, I wonder if they will reschedule the game for Wednesday the 24th. They'd have to get consent (I'd imagine) from the Bruins organization, Bruins' players, and the NHLPA. But if the other option is rescheduling the entire first round of the playoffs, this might be the route they go if the game indeed gets cancelled.

That'll give the Bruins 5 games in the last week, a huge advantage for anyone who has a bunch of bruins and still somehow makes it to the finals.

And also a solution for the end of the season if the NHL allows it and judging how the bungled the lockout who knows if they'll let this happen.

Pens/Bruins game moves to Saturday. Pens/Buffalo game schedule for Saturday gets moved to Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Boston/Ottawa game stays on for the 30th and all is well.

Sorry, I meant the 28th for that Bruins/Ottawa game.

I mighta been able to squeak it out if Rask had started on Wednesday.
But if we have no game tonight, I'm doomed. Assuming he'd get the start on Sunday... that would be the only start from him for my entire semi.
And considering that Carey Price is my other netminder....

Which leads to my other point.

His last action will have been on the 13th. I can't fathom why he sat on the 17th...
